BEWARE CHEAP CHINESE ELECTRICAL GOODS!
On the second time of use it started to short circuit and there were two 5cm arcs of electricity above the battery, (same battery as 1st time and I've used another universal charger for years, where you also move the pins, with no issues). It then ceased working forever. Suggest buyers try the Yiboyuan model, of which I have used several and this also benefits from a digital readout, which advises of the battery charge and the progress during charging.

Nikon quality at an affordable price.
With the D200 Nikon made a big leap from the old style D100. Improvements mean that the D200 set the tone which later models followed. If you can afford it, (and its quite cheap now) buy a D200 rather than a D100.

ROBUST & EASY TO USE
This camera is very well built, originally aimed at building sites, factories and such locations. The controls are simple, easy to use and large - so they can be operated whilst wearing gloves. So if you want a small compact this is not for you! However,if you want a tough camera for tough situations, this may be ideal. Also it could be great for some children, where a normal camera might only last a few days or people requiring larger sized controls. The camera takes good images; the flash, macro and video are also good and the large 3 inch rear screen is excellent - very clear... one of the best I've seen. It has a handy internal memory in case your card gets full or you forget it and It uses easy to get AA batteries. The only real drawback is it takes xd cards which are not common and much more expensive than sd cards.
