My business here started with inheriting a couple giant bins of very old sheets that my Great Grandmother left me. Now I am always on the hunt to buy, sell, and collect. I sell rare and beautiful antique sheet music that not only promotes and preserves the rich history of American music, but looks great framed and sounds amazing played. I love learning about these pieces, about the early composers of "American music", about which kinds of music styles and trends led to the next (ragtime to blues and jazz and so on and so forth). I adore the music education that comes with this craze of mine! It has been an enlightening journey. I love that every piece has an illustration, up until the the smaller format pieces of the 1930s and 40s when photos of the recording artists seemed to take over. Before that time, some of the graphics and layouts and illustations are simply WONDERFUL. I also play some of these originals as i've been playing piano since I was a little girl.
