This lens from Canon is designed to meet user demand for a fast EF-S zoom lens. It has a large circular aperture which produces a shallow depth-of-field, creating background blur that draws attention to the photographic subject. The lens construction includes UD and aspherical elements, which deliver impressive image quality throughout the entire zoom range. A 3-stop Image Stabilizer ensures shake free shots and clear, crisp images, even in dim light. With a Ring-type USM, inner focusing and new AF algorithms, this lens achieves autofocus quickly and quietly, and with full-time mechanical manual focusing, manually adjusting the focus is possible even in AF mode. Other key features of the Canon EF-S 17-55mm F/2.8 IS USM lens include minimum focusing distance of just 35cm, 77mm filer diameter, ultrasonic motor for fast, near-silent auto focus and a circular 7-blade diaphragm which helps produce attractive background blur.

Seller is a GREAT communicator! Unfortunately, a unit not displayed in the sales ad was shipped accidentally from multiple units on hand. Bottom line - human error happens on occasion. Seller acknowledged the error - QUICKLY processed a refund - and PROMPTLY supplied a return shipping label. From the standpoint of 'resolution', no more could have been expected or asked. S&H was FAST and packaging VERY protective. Will certainly consider this seller for future purchases. THANK YOU!

I have purchased many of this Acer model and it is great. Unfortunately, despite what appeared to be a careful packing job, the item arrived damaged. However, the seller was very responsive with providing a return label and refund. I would buy from them again.
