Though the movie was released in 1993, Buena Vista Interactive credits the popularity of Kingdom Hearts, which featured The Nightmare Before Christmas and other Disney films as worlds to explore, for the decision to go ahead with the first "full" video game based on the film.

I contacted the seller about what he considered “very good” condition concerning a disc that had dozens of scratches on it. Over half of the scratches were circular. Big no no on a disc of any type. Told the seller, “this disc has more scratches than every disc I own combined.” Not an exaggeration btw. He responded, “ TBH it was one the best condition games in my collection” and “it was mostly referring to the case anyway.” Listing was far more vague. Wouldn’t trust jumpy-20 to mow astroturf.
