Enabled by the revolutionary MICROMV recording format, the new compact Sony Network Handycam IP DCR-IP7E offers unmatched picture and sound quality, plus Bluetooth technology for wireless digital connectivity. The MICROMV cassette, known as MGR60, measures 70 percent smaller than existing Mini DV cassettes, radically changing the boundaries of how small a video camera or digital camcorder can go. The DCR-IP7E is the first model in the new generation of high-quality, user-friendly digital camcorders.The Network Handycam IP comes complete with Bluetooth wireless technology. This means that users enjoy wireless connection and data transfer with the DCR-IP7E - they can browse the Web, send e-mail, or access picture and text-messaging facilities, while on the go with a compatible Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. Internet applications, like the Internet browser, e-mail user interface, can be viewed on the LCD screen. The built-in alphanumeric character input screen allows users to enter Internet addresses and text messages easily from the unit. The Network Handycam IP may be linked to a Sony Bluetooth 56K modem adaptor, BTA-NW1 or to a compatible Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. Hence, with all these capabilities, the Network Handycam IP camcorders are perfect travel mates, giving users the power to go wherever they want and get connected anytime.
