Inside the durable aluminum and high-density plastic case, an AMD A series A8-4500M processor with Turbo CORE technology drives an AMD Mobility Radeon HD 7640G graphics processor, 500GB hard disk drive (HDD) and an Altec Lansing audio system powered by ASUS SonicMaster technology, which is ideal for both day-to-day productivity tasks and multimedia enjoyment. ASUS loaded the K55N with a suite of proprietary technologies that maximize battery life, improve processor efficiency, minimize heat during extended use, and accelerate laptop wake-up time. ASUS SuperBatt technology extends the lifecycle of the K55N laptop battery by optimizing its charging voltage and current cycle, increasing the lifespan three times over and improving charging speed by 15 percent. Meanwhile, ASUS Super Hybrid Engine technology increases battery life by 35 to 53 percent on a single charge as compared to in-class competitor laptops. Super Hybrid technology also reduces annual CO2 emissions by around 27 pounds per laptop. IceCool technology comprises of a motherboard layout, copper-aluminum cooling pipes and heatsinks that keep the K55N laptop’s palm rests and underside cool during prolonged use – no more sweaty palms and frying thighs while binging on Netflix. ASUS Instant-On technology powers on the K55N in just two seconds, even after spending as long as two weeks in standby mode. AMD’s quad-core 1.9 MHz A8-4500M has a 2.8 GHz turbo clock speed and 4 MB of L2 cache memory. The L2 cache speeds up processing actions by buffering 4 MB of commonly accessed data, eliminating the need to delve into the 4 GB of onboard DDR3 SD RAM. The motherboard has one open SO-DIMM 204-pin slot for adding up to 4 GB of RAM. An AMD Mobility Radeon HD 7640G graphics processor supports Microsoft DirectX 11 technology and features an integrated Avivo HD UVD 3 video decoder that provides seamless decoding of Adobe Flash, MPEG-4 Part two (xVid, Divx), MPEG-4 AVC-H.264, and multi-view codec (MVD) video. ASUS SonicMaster technology combines powerful Altec Lansing speakers with advanced software processing to produce wider audio ranges, distinctive vocals, deeper bass, and better overall sound clarity. The Bluetooth-enabled ASUS K55N comes with a diverse range of ports and connectors to increase memory size and accessory and hardware compatibility. The K55N has two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, a LAN Ethernet port, a legacy VGA port for an additional display, and a full-size HDMI port, in addition to one audio in and one audio out port. Add additional flash memory using the SD-card slot, which supports MultiMediaCards, SD Memory Cards, SDHC Memory Cards, and SDXC Memory Card. The ASUS K55N comes with the Windows 8 64-bit operating system and includes a host of software to set you up with multimedia. Bundled software includes a virtual-camera application (for use during video conferencing with the included webcam), a wireless utility, Splendid image enhancer and LifeFrame imaging software. Well I wrote the seller a message as the listing says tested and working to which I interpret as logged into. If there is no password the unit is a paperweight the seller to my knowledge just didn't respond. The unit is in good physical shape but without the password the errors can't be determined. Tested as a boat anchor that's all it's for without login. No reset without the one in it
