Anakin Skywalker remains the Jedi apprentice of master Obi-Wan Kenobi. His moodiness and glowering are a clear precursor to his inevitable, terrifying metamorphosis into Darth Vader, the dark leader of the evil Empire who haunts the remainder of the series.
