Terms and Conditions of Sale
The following conditions apply to and are deemed to be incorporated in all contracts for sale and supply of the company's services and materials.
By purchasing an item from Exhausts Direct you are agreeing to abide by the following Terms and Conditions:
 
Ordering from us
The placing of an order expresses acceptance of our terms and conditions of business. All prices shown include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the statutory rate current at the date of invoice. Due to Systems Limitations we are unable to deduct VAT for export out of the UK. We are only able to ship to fixed residential or business addresses (to certain countries within the EU. ) Please check the shipping configuration on each item to see if postage is possible to your area. We are unable to ship to BFPO or PO Box addresses.
 
Payment and Selection of Items
Accepted payment methods are shown in the both our eBay item listing and payment page on our website. Exhausts Direct reserve the right to notify eBay of any unpaid items via any appropriate method - including the feedback system and the Non Payer system.
No goods shall pass from the company to the customer unless and until the customer has made full and complete payment to the company. If payment is not made in full and the good have been shipped, then Exhausts Direct retains title of goods. If payment is made and then is withdrawn once goods have been shipped Exhausts Direct will seek to recover the goods or the value of the goods plus expenses.
Delivery
Normally items ordered will be dispatched on the next working day from the day ordered and sent on the delivery service selected on checkout. Working days are classed as Monday to Friday excluding Public and Bank Holidays and closure days as specified in our opening hours. The estimated delivery time of the purchased item will be available on your order based on the shipping service you have selected.
Once the item has left us we are in the hands of the carrier in order for them to attain the target delivery time.
IMPORTANT - IF THE ITEM IS DELIVERED DAMAGED YOU MUST SIGN FOR IT AS DAMAGED AND NOTIFY US WITHIN 3 WORKING DAYS FROM DELIVERY. We will endeavor to deliver the goods as specified on the delivery service selected at point of order. We would ask that you do not arrange any events that are relating to receiving the item until it is has actually been received and it has been checked fully by yourself to ensure it is intact and correct. Please always check the item and its condition on the moment of the delivery even if you are not going to use it on the same day.
 
Returns under the DSR (Changed Mind, no longer needed or purchased wrong)
Customers have 30 working days from the receipt of goods to advise that they wish to return them. This is not applicable if the reason is due to damages or defects due to Exhaust Direct. We do not accept returned goods outside this period of time. If you wish to return item, the options are as follows.
You arrange for the items to be shipped back to our offices under your own method of carriage. The customer is liable for the safe transportation of the goods until they are received back at the company’s office. Upon receipt of the full goods back a refund for the purchase price of the goods paid will be made back to the original method of payment. It will be accepted that the packaging will be opened however the goods must not be installed or used.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the items are packaged in order to protect them for the return journey. All loose components must be securely fastened. Any damage caused because of failure of this will result in the cost being deducted out of any refund due to the customer. If the item is returned used, then no refund will be given.
On receipt back the goods are submitted to be checked and if no issues are observed then a refund of the total amount is made through the same payment method within 72 working hours.
No items for returns can be accepted at the company offices without prior agreement and without a copy of the RMA which has to be completed on our website and a link emailed to you.
 
Returns due to faulty items or incorrect items being received.
We will request that the customer send the item back to us however we will reimburse postage costs of the cheapest method of traceable carriage once the item is checked and confirmed like faulty or incorrect item sent
In the event of Exhausts Direct needing to inspect the goods in the event of a claim under the manufactures warranty, then it will be the responsibility of the end user bearing the cost of the return of the goods using the cheapest traceable method and a refund given once the goods have been inspected and verified that the fault is due to product failure. In the event of the problem being due to misuse then it would be the responsibility of the end user to arrange collection of the goods.
If the item is revealed defective beyond the 30 days from the purchasing, we will provide for its reparation and in case it won't be possible we'll provide to replace it with another similar. We are unable to accept any claims for subsequent losses. Any claims relating to the failure of the item needs to be made in writing within 10 days of the problem occurring. Exhausts Direct would not be held responsible for possible costs charged to the user in case of damaged products.
Guarantee
If the item develops a fault which is covered by the manufacturer’s guarantee and is during the manufacturer’s warranty period which is 1 year, then we will repair the item and in the event of this not being possible we will replace on a like for like basis. Once the issue is noticed the customer should get in touch with Exhausts Direct, so we can provide him with the warranty form which needs to fill up. The company does not accept responsibility for damage to any equipment in which our products are used for the purpose other than those for which it was designed.
 
Privacy and Data Protection
Exhausts Direct will not share any address, contact details or payment details with any other parties. We may contact you to advise you of any special offers. If you do not wish to receive this notification, please let us know in writing.
 
Transit Insurance Terms and Conditions
We select a number of carriers on your behalf in order to transport the package to you as quickly as possible however, in the unfortunate circumstance that there is a problem this insurance will help get the problem rectified as quickly as possible.
The following terms and conditions apply and by agreed to accept the transit insurance you are agreeing to also abide by these terms and conditions.
 
Damaged Parcels
If an item is received damaged we must be notified within the timescales of the Distance Selling Regulations, this can be by done via messaging service in eBay.
We will then receive a claim number from the carrier and the replacement or missing items will then be dispatched out to you upon the original item being collected.
 
Missing Parcels
If your parcel is missing, then this will have to be verified with the carrier. As soon as they issue a claims number then a replacement will be dispatched using the same service method.
If the original item has been found, then it must be refused by the customer so it can be returned to sender. If it is accepted and we are informed that the customer has received both items, then it has to be returned to Exhausts Direct at the customers cost or both items can be charged to the customer.
