The map is encapsulated in heavy-duty 1.6 mil laminate which makes the paper much more durable and resistant to the swelling and shrinking caused by changes in humidity. Outstanding shipping. It was free and took only two days. For a used book 20 years old it is in excellent condition as described. What I am not happy about is the fact the seller does not take questions prior to ordering so I couldn't ask if this language book came with the CDs. I figured if they were missing it would be in the description so I went ahead and ordered it. Turns out the CDs did not come with the book which makes the book much less useful.
