Product Information

This volume of my story is a flashback, recounting the bizarre events of the day which preceded the real-life nightmare described in volume one. The first day of the rest of my life got off to a great start - After drafting the letter of resignation which would draw a line under my previous madic existence as a globe-trotting expat in the construction industry I spent the morning relaxing in my garden and relishing the idea of becoming co-owner of the best dam bar in Saigon! As I read my morning newspaper in the glorious Vietnamese sunshine it soon became apparent that the inexplicable series of bizarre events which had engulfed my life over the previous few weeks had moved up ather level of 'weirdness' but whoever or whatever was behind it seemed to be on my side so did I REALLY need to understand it? The morning's optimism faded quickly when I returned indoors to prepare for my upcoming holiday back home in Scotland -All of a sudden I wasn't so sure that 'it' was on my side after all! For the first time since the weirdness had begun I felt uncomfortable in my house. I knew I had to get out of there quickly but what I didn't kw was that I was about to embark on a mind-bending odyssey that would challenge everything that I had ever believed in!

Author Biography
I was born and raised in a housing scheme in the Glasgow's East End, the youngest of four children in a working class Catholic family. After schooling I became a quantity surveyor, and after around 10 years working in Glasgow I joined John Brown Engineering of Clydebank, a company best known for building famous liners such as The Queen Mary and The QE2 but who had since moved into the power station business. I worked on projects in the UK and Malaysia with them before joining the German engineering company Siemens with whom I worked on projects in New Zealand, U.A.E and Vietnam however in the wake of a fatal accident on the project in Vietnam in 2003, myself and one of my close friends decided that we would leave the construction industry and open a bar together in Vietnam. In January 2004 we set about investigating the process and looking for suitable premises however after spending most of the first month lazing around a swimming pool I decided that I would use some of the spare time I had seeing if I could write a book. Having worked throughout the world, and with the experiences of the Vietnam project fresh in my mind, I felt that I had at least a basic skeleton for a story but the one thing that was missing was a 'big ending'...That is basically when the events described in my 'Rapt In An Enigma' series of books began. Although born into a Catholic family and being educated in Catholic schools, as long as I can remember I have been what I would consider a devout agnostic, sceptical not only of religion but of anything 'paranormal'. The events described in my books have certainly changed me in many respects - I remain as 'unreligious' as I ever was however I feel I can no longer describe myself as an agnostic. Within my books I describe a number of occasions where I have been able to accurately 'predict' future events ranging from scientific discoveries relating to the mechanics of black holes to natural disasters such as tsunamis and hurricanes to man-made disasters such as BP's Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico which led to the biggest oil spillage in history however I would stress that I make no claim to be psychic or to have ANY kind of psychic abilities. I am, as I have always been just an ordinary working class guy from Glasgow who just happened to dragged into one of the most amazing and incredible stories ever told. Very pleased with purchase. Notifications about delivery (29/4) were confusing and incorrect, especially as it says below that it was sent 3/5, but that may have been the fault of Australia Post. This package actually arrived at PO on 6/5 and picked up today.
