PAYMENT:
Payment to be made within 2 working days of auction end. If payment isn t received within this time period, ebay may open a late payment case automatically.
POSTAGE:
Our usual postage dispatch days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We try to ensure that all orders placed and paid for on the previous business day will be sent out on these days.
If you have an urgent order let us know and we will see what we can do to assist. If you are purchasing an item from November onwards, please read the section below headed Christmas Post about the last dates for posting for an item to be guaranteed to reach you for Christmas if sent by Royal Mail.
Where an auction provides the option for a 24 hour courier service, this will be booked for collection from us on the next business day (or earlier if possible). We usually use UPS (subject to availability) for the 24 hour domestic courier delivery service. The 24 hour courier service operates Monday-Friday and delivers on the next business day after collection from us. Saturday and Sunday are not counted as business days.
We reserve the right to substitute a similar shipping service at our discretion, provided it is at least as fast as the one stated in the ebay auction/ listing. For example we may substitute Royal Mail 2nd class for the 3-5 day UK courier service, or vice versa where appropriate. If a particular shipping service is crucial to your decision to purchase, please let us know and we will ensure it is sent via that method.
No postage discounts for multiple purchases unless agreed before the auction end.
Please contact us for a quote before bidding if you are based in the Highlands or offshore (including the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland) if the item is to be sent via courier as the cost is usually higher than that quoted for the mainland in the auction. If you are based in Northern Ireland you may also be required to provide ID / Passport Number for customs declaration purposes. If the cost of the shipping is more than that shown/ paid as part of the ebay sale we will send you a paypal request to cover the balance after the sale has concluded.
Please contact us if you have any queries regarding the amount charged for postage. As a VAT registered business seller we have to charge VAT on postage, and are charged fees by both ebay and paypal on the receipt of monies for posting. The net effect is to increase the postal costs by over 30% from the basic Royal Mail prices. The postage charges stated in the ebay auctions also include an element for packaging materials.
We will ship to the address you have recorded with Ebay/ Paypal. If an item is returned to us either because:
(1) delivery has been attempted and it has not been collected from the sorting office, or the address is incomplete (in the case of Royal Mail);
(2) you have used the Argos Click and Collect service and you haven t collected it from Argos; or
(3) the courier has attempted to deliver it and has been unable to effect delivery,
it is the Buyer s responsibility to pay for the repeat postage costs to send the item out again. We will send a paypal payment request to the Buyer on the return of the item to us to facilitate this.
Alternatively, if the Buyer wishes to cancel the transaction in the event of a failed delivery or if a buyer decides he no longer wants the item, the Buyer is responsible for the postage costs which have been incurred by us (even if the item is stated to be free postage as we incur a cost in shipping out these items), and these will be deducted from any refund which is issued.
Buyer to pay postage on returns unless the item is faulty or significantly not as described (see RETURNS below).
CHRISTMAS POST DEADLINES
The following are the last dates that the Royal Mail will guarantee the items for delivery by Christmas. The order should be placed the DAY BEFORE this to enable us to get the item in the post on time. Contact us if these dates have past, as we can look into other options for you, such as our express courier services, which may still be able to get the item to you on time for Christmas. These are likely to incur an additional cost to the standard costs shown in the auction which we will agree with you prior to purchase.
Our last working day prior to Christmas is FRIDAY 23rd December, so please place all orders by 22nd DECEMBER if you want them shipped prior to Christmas.

Europe, USA, Canada - 14th December
UK - 19th December (2nd class) 20th December (1st class), 17th December (standard courier), 21st December (express courier).

LOST/ DELAYED ITEMS (INCLUDING ITEMS RETAINED BY THE POSTAL SERVICES DUE TO DAMAGE)
Any claim needs to be notified to us WITHIN 30 DAYS of the date of purchase. Notification should be by ebay message or via a claim within ebay for item not received . Any claims outside this period will be invalid.
For items sent by Royal Mail, we are governed by the Royal Mail s policy on this, which states that a claim can only be made after 15 WORKING DAYS have passed from the Due Date of delivery of the item without the item arriving. The Due Date is: 1st class - 1 working day, 2 class - 3 working days, international - 5 working days. If your item hasn t arrived within this timescale, please get in touch AFTER the deadline has passed, and we can proceed with a claim against the Royal Mail, and look to issue a refund if required. If you are an overseas customer, the timescale is 20 working days for Europe and 25 working days for the rest of the world.
RETURNS
Please contact us first AS SOON as you discover a problem (AND WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE DATE OF PURCHASE), before returning the item, as we may be able to resolve the problem without the need for a return.
A refund will be given provided the item is returned in the same condition in which it was sent (ie no missing parts etc, and if it was brand new & sealed, returned still sealed), unless the item has been damaged in transit, in which case all the damaged parts should be returned. All items should be returned promptly after we have agreed to the return, and posted back to us within 14 days. We recommend you get a proof of posting if the item isn t returned by a tracked service.
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should the buyer attempt to dismantle / assemble or repair an item (including swapping parts with a similar item) without contacting us first, and getting our written permission. Failure to do this will invalidate any return, and the return will be rejected and referred directly to Ebay.
Subject to your statutory rights, any returned items will be tested and a refund only issued if the item is proved faulty. Unless the item is proved faulty we will not refund the cost of return postage to UK buyers. Any returns by UK buyers need to be made under the Ebay Managed Returns process (where this is available), unless agreed with us in writing via a message sent in ebay. If we pay for a ebay postage label under the ebay managed returns process, we will not be responsible for the cost of any alternate method of shipping selected by the buyer. The postage cost for all returns by buyers outside the UK shall be paid by the buyer.
NOTE - we record the serial numbers of all items dispatched, and a refund will only be issued if these correspond with the item returned. Failure to do this will result in a report being filed with Ebay and the return rejected.
