The pets also go into town with your Sims while they go shopping or run errands. Create perfect or imperfect pets for your Sims, from fierce guard dogs to destructive kittens, noble horses, and more. Players are able to determine not only how your Sims’ pets look but how they behave as well. Players control your Sims’ pet to chase, dig, tackle, and more. Decide if the pet is the perfect companion or wreak havoc on your Sims. Pets have their own traits, and players help to determine them just like they can determine the traits of their Sims. From intelligent, brave, and friendly to hydrophobic, skittish, and clueless, or gentle, fast, and agile, the fate of your Sims’ pets’ personalities rest in your hands. The pets also learn skills, much like human Sims. Both cats and dogs can learn to hunt in “The Sims 3: Pets” game. Dogs learn to locate items or help your Sim get a date with a lucky dog lover.
