Had an older WD-320 HD that was really running hot (for reasons unknown). Installing this HD cooling unit did the trick, removed the heat & reduced the HD temp by avg 25 deg F. I did have to route the wiring & also add a PSU splitter cable to extend a connection to the messy wiring inside my PC case, but it worked out OK & all is well. AAAA++++

Great buy, do recommend for retro builds or as a front pc bay cooling solution!
