The Midland LXT600VP3 Two Way Radio is suitable for camping, hiking, large event staff, or any outdoor activity where long distance communication would be valued. The range of the Midland LXT600VP3 Two Way Radio is as much as 30 miles in ideal conditions with little or no other radio or wireless interference, and no concrete, metal, or other dense obstacles between users. In a populated urban environment, the effective range is typically less than 0.5 miles. Channel dispersion for the LXT600VP3 is 22 standard channels and 14 extra channels, for a total of 36 total channels. The Midland LXT600VP3 radio can be powered by either the rechargeable battery pack (included in the accessories), or by 3 AAA batteries. This handheld two-way radio has 5 selectable call tones, Roger beep tone, channel scan, auto squelch, Out-Of-Range tone, a Hi/Low power setting, and a backlit LCD display.
