If before the protagonist was a naïve girl who was discovering the power wars between the members of the monarchy, as well as the injustices of the world and the limits to which her trusted people can go, now we will meet a very different Emily. The book begins where the previous one ends: Emily captivates in the palace of Stefan Denavritz, her former boyfriend and new monarch of Mishnock, and with a plan to regain her freedom. However, fate has other plans for her, and makes her an important piece for the peace agreements between nations and the motive that Magnus Lacrontte, her former enemy, will use to manipulate the king of Mishnock. What neither Emily nor Magnus know is that the game in which they are involved, each for different reasons, will lead them to enter a very powerful sexual discovery with surprising results for both. The King's Chains has beautiful illustrations by Álvaro Cardozo , a Colombian illustrator.
