The result is maximized main memory of the processor while reducing its latency. Users have the ability to allocate up to 6 MB of memory to any one core located within the Intel Xeon E5405. Gain three times the amount of bandwidth of traditional processors. This is made possible with the fully buffered Intel CPU DIMM technology used in the E5405 processor’s design. The Intel Acceleration technology cuts the CPU overhead while offering a more efficient processing experience. The Intel Xeon E5405 2GHz processor features four complete processor cores in one physical package. Significant CPU performance headroom, especially for multi-threaded applications, helps boost system utilization through virtualization and application responsiveness. Its 12 MB L2 cache increases efficiency of cache-to-processor data transfer, maximizes main memory to processor bandwidth, and reduces latency. Intel EM64T provides an enhancement to intel 32-bit architecture for the Intel Xeon E5405 2GHz by enabling the mobile processor platform to access larger amounts of memory.
