beautifull and fine
Beautiful and very fine honing stone, but very slow at sharpening. Could well be used like a JNAT if you have a nagura and lots of patience. I like the looks though, and that is half the worth. Rarely offered in In this size.

Beautiful stone of about 1200 JIS grit
This stone is a perfect alternative when you want to sharpen your smaller kitchen knives, pocketknives etc. It has a medium grit of about 900-1200 JIS grit to perform sharpening after bevel setting. It is hard and fast and best used with a light oil. After using this stone you can progress to for instance a Belgian Blue Stone for finishing.

Quite fast soft sharpening stone
This stone is fit for bevelsetting and does it quite fast. It is however a soft stone that must be flattened very often. The price is such that this can not be a reasnon not to buy it.
